Here at Palisades Dental, our goal is to make dentistry as comfortable as possible!
Dr. Youngquist is an American Fork Dentist who has been practicing dentistry for over ten years. In 2014 Dr. Youngquist purchased Palisades Dental. Dr. Youngquist understands, from a patient’s perspective, how difficult and stressful dental work can be. That is why he strives to make your visit pleasant. Each day patients are heard saying “I didn’t even feel the shot!”
Each oratory has TV’s on the ceilings, so you can enjoy your favorite shows as you get your dental work done. The office is also equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including a Cerec, so you can have a crown done in just one visit!
Dr. Jeff Youngquist
– Dentist in American Fork, UT
Dr. Jeff Youngquist has been practicing general dentistry since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2005 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has spent significant time devoted to implants and cosmetic dentistry.
His favorite thing in dentistry is fixing broken or worn front teeth, because of the confidence he restores in his patients. “As a child I broke my front teeth on a trampoline, so I know what it’s like. No one should have to feel self-conscious about their smile!”
Starting in 2011, Dr. Jeff Youngquist also practiced in Southern California. It was there where he was able to gain extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry. He was a partner in a private practice in Orange Country until devoting his full attention to Utah Dentistry, and eventually purchased his current practice from Dr. John Capua in 2014. In his free time, Dr. Jeff enjoys traveling, pickleball, and volleyball, and tries to play as often as he can.

Dr. John Capua
– General Dentist
Dr. John Capua has been practicing general dentistry since 1981. After growing up in Florida, he went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Zoology. Dr. Capua went back home to the University of Florida and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He opened his first practice in 1984, then moved to our current building in 1996, until 2014, when he had an opportunity to practice dentistry in Alaska and Dr. Youngquist purchased the practice. We were fortunate to have the Capua’s return to American Fork in 2020 and have Dr. John back as an associate dentist!
Dr. Capua’s vast experience that spans three decades allows us to do many procedures in-house, rather than refer patients to a specialist. These include (but are not limited to) wisdom teeth removal, tissue graft surgery, root canal procedures, and orthodontics.
In his free time, Dr. Capua enjoys many hobbies including golfing, restoring classic cars, woodworking, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Janette
– Office Manager
Janette has been working with Dr. Capua since 1990, where she started after graduating as a Certified Dental Assistant from the American Institute of Medical and Dental Technology. She assisted for 13 years and has been in a front office capacity ever since. Whether you’ve been a longtime patient or have recently joined our practice, Janette has been here to greet you with a warm smile. She was born and raised in Utah County and loves horseback riding, camping, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Janessa
– Dental Assistant
Janessa is our lead assistant at Palisades Dental. She was born and raised in Utah and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Utah University. Janessa has been a dental assistant since 2013 and has experience with just about everything in dentistry! In her free time she loves playing softball, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
Denae
– Dental Hygienist
Denae started working for Dr. Capua as a dental assistant in 2003. After gaining experience in the field, she went on to the Utah College of Dental Hygiene and became a Registered Dental Hygienist.
